Sterilising/Sanitising

Sterilising/Sanitising

Kitmark has a full range of UNIQUE products that sterilise your Home, Office, Work Areas, Food Processing Machines, Hospital & Nursing Home Environments. etc.

Surface Hygiene:

Kitmark Surface Protection delivers broad spectrum, high performance surface hygiene in domestic, commercial or industrial manufacturing environments.

Powerful surface coating and disinfectant, which bonds to the surfaces on which it is applied. Correctly applied, it will not leave the surface, unless by heavy abrasion.

The Surface Sanitiser is a broad-spectrum surface disinfectant, which destroys 99.9% of pathogens on application, and continues to provide high-level antimicrobial protection [95% to 99.9%].

It is a technological breakthrough, being non-toxic, non-chemical, non-volatile, non-mutagenic, non-allergenic and non-leaching.

Our Surface Sanitiser destroys bacteria mechanically, not chemically therefore bacteria cannot mutate or build resistance, as is the case with chemical disinfectants.

Surfaces on which our product has been applied, can be regularly washed with water without significant reduction in antimicrobial knock down performance.

Our Product does not contain nanotechnology or heavy metals, being completely inert, non-toxic, non allergenic and safe for people, plants, pets, and the planet.

EPA registered product based on natural and sustainable materials.

The technology is particularly relevant in all surface environments where bacterial contamination or bacterial cross contamination is an issue. It is particularly relevant in healthcare environments where nosocomial and other bacterial infection issues are a critical problem.

Some Facts you may need to know:

The Dark Side Of Biocides

Many biocides comprise chemicals such as bleach, tricosan, alloys or heavy metals, including silver ion and nano-silver which do not readily break down and accumulate in our environment. Some, during the process of microbial interaction produce halogenated by-products like carcinogenic trihalomathanes. Concerns exist regarding impacts of ion and nano-technologies which have the ability to traverse the human dermal barrier, enter the body and biologically accumulate in human organs, in animals and the environment. Overuse of chemicals and metal based biocides has lead to many biocides becoming ineffective , and contributing to the growing presence of resistant microbes.

Why Use Kitmark Surface Protection?

Surface Protection

SAFE TO USE

Our Products are safe for people, pets and the environment. Other products contain heavy metals like silver, nano-silver, copper, organo tins and zinc, Kitmark Surface Protection are not environmentally persistent or bio accumulative, making Kitmark Products one of the greenest surface protectants available.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Food manufacturing, storage, processing, packaging and distribution environments represent significant hygiene challenges. australia Kitmark Surface Protection is an effective broad spectrum anti bacterial, anti fungal, mould and odour control treatment which bonds to the surface on which it is applied. As a bound antimicrobial, it does not leach from the surface or deplete in antimicrobial efficacy.

HUMAN & ANIMAL HEALTH CARE

The World Health Organisation ranks the risk of nosocomial infection as being the third largest threat to mankind. Its position is that hospital acquired infections are a global threat in which no medical system can sustain, humanely or financially.

HUMAN & ANIMAL HEALTH CARE

Hospitals and Healthcare facilities are an environment where infected persons and persons at increased risk of infection congregate.

Kitmark adelaidePatients with infections are often carriers of pathogenic micro-organisms, and when admitted to hospitals are potential sources of infection for patients and staff. Patients who become infected in the hospital are a further source of infection through cross contamination of bacteria on surfaces and substrates in the healthcare environment. Healthcare acquired infections (HAIs) are defined as infections not present and without evidence of incubation at the time of admission to a healthcare setting.

The United States Centre for Disease Control recently estimated that roughly 1.7 million hospital associated infections caused or contributed to 155,000 deaths. An advisory has been issued that current disinfection and infection control protocols are failing to control the rising incidence of resistant bacteria.

It is considered that many chemical and metal based antimicrobials may in fact be contributing to the problem, given their inability to deliver terminal penetration and destruction of the pathogen cell, thereby permitting the cell to build resistance. As a consequence the global healthcare system is under challenge from "SUPER BUGS" which are resistant to conventional antibiotics.

Our bound silane quat is a new approach where bacteria, fungi and mould are terminally destroyed by mechanical, non-chemical mode of action, which is extremely efficient.

Kitmark Surface Protection s a new weapon in the fight to control bacteria, fungus and mould, and it can be applied to all healthcare products, textiles, hard surfaces, non-surgical surfaces and material assets. As a bound antimicrobial it does not leach from the surface on which it is applied, and therefore does not deplete in microbial control efficiency. Unlike common chemical and metal based hygiene treatments, it delivers continuing, durable, persistent, long-term defence and protection of the treated surface.

  • Advance technology antimicrobial which is non-chemical, eco friendly
  • Bonds to most surfaces
  • Destroys 99.9% of pathogens on application to the surface
  • Continues to provide high level antimicrobial protection.
  • Will not naturally leave the surface to which it is applied, or leach into the environment
